Inspired by the 25th anniversary of Okines Community House Inc and printed in 2024, we designed the Okines History Canvas as a snapshot of the land and the people who have lived and worked there:
- The Mumirimina people of the Oyster Bay nation who were devastated by British settlement
- The continuing connection of the Tasmanian Aboriginal Community
- Dodge family members at Ferry Farm and Lagoon Farm
- Soldier settler Charles Ferguson and farmer Ernest Okines
- The Southern Beaches community at the Rec Park and Dodges Ferry Primary School
- Okines Community House Inc volunteers, staff, visitors and guests
